British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited Counsellor-Psychotherapist has demonstrated a commitment to high standards and enable the public to have confidence that the practitioner works ethically and is trained and qualified.

BACP Accredited counsellors and psychotherapists have surpassed registration standards and have demonstrated mature competence in counselling/psychotherapy training and practice

Accreditation enables clients, employers and colleagues to recognise proven, competent practitioners. This means that the selection of a counsellor or therapist can be based on an informed choice rather than speculation

Accreditation is not for the newly qualified practitioner. Its is a quality standard for the mature, experienced practitioner who wishes to demonstrate their knowledge, experience and understanding of what they do and why.

BACP is the largest professional body representing counselling and psychotherapy in the UK, and its accreditation standard, arguably the most widely recognised.
